These are pictures of a random vertical roof, the slate is second hand Delabole slate. The slates were wooden pegged and lime bedded at the tail (Wet laid).

Place Barton, Ashton – Teign Valley

We managed to save a large quantity of existing Welsh slates when stripping the roof, we added new rafters and perlings to most areas of the roof before expertly blending in reclaimed Welsh slates with existing. All doorma windows have been slated with mitred hips and valleys with a lead roll top ridge.

This has to have been one of our most challenging and successful roofs.
